Stand Against Crime is an independent online-safety resource. We help everyday people spot, avoid, and recover from the scams and cybercrime that are getting faster, cheaper, and harder to detect every year.

Scammers now clone a loved one’s voice from seconds of audio, impersonate the police over video calls, and hide fraud behind QR codes and lookalike wallet addresses. Most people simply haven’t seen these tactics before. Our goal is to change that — with clear explanations and practical tools, in plain language, before the scam reaches you.

What We Do

We publish in-depth scam guides and build free, privacy-first tools that run entirely in your browser — a family safe-word generator, a pig-butchering scam checklist, a crypto address checker, and a QR/link safety checker. Every guide includes worldwide and country-specific guidance, including for readers in India, on exactly who to report a scam to.

Our Editorial Standards

People make real decisions about their money and safety based on what they read here, so we hold our content to a clear standard.

• Grounded in primary sources. Our guidance draws on official bodies — the FBI and its IC3, the FTC, India’s I4C and the “1930” cyber-fraud helpline, the RBI, and their equivalents worldwide — alongside reputable security research and documented cases. Where we cite figures or incidents, we say so, and we encourage readers to verify against the original source.
• Reviewed and dated. Scams change fast, so each guide carries a date, and we revisit and update our most important pages as the tactics evolve.
• Plain, practical, and non-alarmist. We explain how a scam works, the specific red flags, and the exact steps to take — without fear-mongering. The aim is to leave you more capable, not more anxious.
• Corrections welcome. If we’ve got something wrong or out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.

Independent and Privacy-First

• Your data stays yours. Our tools run entirely in your browser. We don’t ask you to sign up, and we don’t collect the words, links, or addresses you check in order to use them.
